Sequoia Staff Arrival Information and Acknowledgements
--- WORKERS COMP ---
While I am on the job for Camp Sequoia, I am covered by Worker’s Compensation in case of injury on the job. I understand that Camp Sequoia requires treatment at one of five posted locations within 30 miles of camp.
*
I understand
--- BACKGROUND CHECKS ---
Completion of background checks is a condition of employment and I have/will have submitted the following checks by the end of staff orientation and that there is nothing that I am aware of on any of these that would preclude my work with children:
*
FBI FINGERPRINT, STATE CRIMINAL CHECK, and CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE
I understand
--- MANDATED REPORTING ---
Completion of the 3 hour online Mandated Reporter training is a condition of employment and I have turned in this certificate to the office or will do so prior to 6/21/2020.
*
I understand
--- CPI TRAINING ---
If I am offered to complete CPI training, I will adhere to program expectations and act within established guidelines in utilizing these techniques with our campers. If I have not been trained, I will defer to the guidance of those who have been trained.
*
I understand
--- DISTANCE LEARNING ---
I have completed all of the distance learning modules as required by my contract and understand that I will need to pass an assessment reflecting this learning prior to the end of staff training.
*
I understand
--- SELF CARE AND WHIMSY POLICY ---
In order to do the best work for campers, I should take care of myself using techniques and strategies to encourage happiness, whimsy and a general sense of well being. I further acknowledge that the leadership team is available to help with this upon request.
*
I understand
--- TIME OFF ---
Time off is scheduled at the end of staff training, nights off and 4 additional “SUPERDAYS” off. Leaving camp for this time off will be done through a mandatory sign out/sign in process. Requests for specific dates off can be made during staff training, but are contingent upon the ability to maintain acceptable coverage. I also understand that my time off during the day will be assigned by a supervisor and can be spent in the staff lounge, my quarters, or common areas on campus.
*
I understand
--- GENERAL STAFF UNDERSTANDING---
I understand the camp visitor policy, dress code, and general staff requirements as outlined in the staff handbook and the Operational Expectations. I agree to abide by these policies and to ask questions or seek clarification before campers arrive should I need to do so.
